1 day : Marrakech / Marrakech City Tour / Marrakesh
8 Days Desert Tour Marrakech to Fes, A Full guided tour will be scheduled to discover Marrakesh, Tourist Number 1 destination in Morocco, known as the “Red City”. Marrakesh is the most important former imperial city in Morocco’s history; it is situated near the foothills of the high Atlas Mountain. Similarly to other old towns, Marrakech comprises both an old fortified city The Medina and a very modern city called Gueliz built during the French occupation. Marrakesh has the largest traditional market (souk) in Morocco and also has one of the busiest squares in Africa and the world, Djemaa el Fna. The square is full of energy and vibes, where story-tellers, water sellers, dancers, snakes charmers and musicians perform in open air. During the night the square turns into a huge chain restaurant.
During our guided city tour, we will see the Koutoubia Mosque, built in the 12th century in the reign of Almoravid Dynasty. We will go among narrow streets and allies in the medina. We pass by “seven saints” during the reign of Moulay Ismail; the festival of the seven saints was founded to the request of the Sultan. The tombs of several renowned figures were moved to Marrakesh to attract pilgrims.
2 day : Marrakech / Ait Benhaddou / Dades valley
Departure in the morning over the High Atlas mountains through Tizi n’Tichka pass (alt 2260 m).On the road you will visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou where many movies have been shot like: The Gladiator, The Mumy, Babel, Tea In Sahara..Etc. Later on ,continue to Ouarzazate ‘’The African Hollywood’’ where you will visit the Studio films and the Kasbah of Taourirte, then carry on the road via the road of Thousand-Kasbahs through Skoura where you will stop to see a beautiful Kasbah named Amredhyle situated in the stunning Skoura Palmery. 3 day : Dades Valley / Erg Chebbi Desert via Todra Gorge
Leaving Boumalene Dades after breakfast, we will head to Merzouga passing through the Berber village of Tinghir and the Todra Gorge where the canyons dominate the skyline. We will then pass through several towns along the route, stopping for lunch at either Tinjdad, or Rissani in Tafilalet region, famous for serving the Berber pizza. After lunch we will make our way to Merzouga to start our camel trek. You will have a short rest with tea, and then your luggage will be left in safe rooms at the hotel.
The 90 minute of camel trekking will take you to a Nomadic camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the highest in North Africa. The camp consists of a chain of tents equipped with mattresses and linen, a restaurant, a kitchen and toilet. During evening, you will have dinner and entertainment performed by Local staff around the camp fire.
4 day: Erg Chebbi / Merzouga Exploration / Erg Chebbi
A full day in the Sahara Desert is scheduled to explore the Desert features, First You’ll move to neighboring Berber village of the Sahara, called Khamlia, to listen and watch the Gnaoua music performed by local bands. Continue through to see the nomads of the desert under their tents. Then we will drive offroad to experience the wonderful Sahara sceneries. In the evening you’ll be back to your hotel where you’ll have free afternoon to chill out near the pool or ride Quads over Erg Chebbi Dunes..
5 day: Erg Chebbi Desert / Fez
You’ll wake up early to attend the sunrise spectacle, then riding back the camels to your hotel. After having shower and breakfast, we leave Erg Chebbi to the north passing by the Ziz Valley and the Mid Atlas Mountains up to Fez. On our way, we will stop frequently to appreciate the Rocky Mountains and plain areas. We will pause in Azrou to see the North Africa Monkeys on the wild inside a Cedar Forest. We arrive to Fez, and check in your riad.
6 day : Fez / Fez Medina city Tour / Fez
After breakfast a cultural tour is waiting you through the intellectual capital of Fez which was considered Mecca of the west and Athena of Africa.It is the biggest city of the country after Casablanca with a population of approximately 1 million.This city is a the former capital and one of the country’s four imperial cities. Fez comprises three distinct parts, Fez el Bali which is the oldest part surrounded by a big wall, where are more than 9000 narrow streets and allies. Fez-Jdid or the new Fes, home of the Mellah the Jewish quarter and the Ville Nouvelle the newest section of Fez created during the French occupation.
Fez el Bali is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its medina is the largest in the world. Among its narrow streets and allies, the oldest university in the world is located; The University of Al-Karaouine, founded in AD 859. This University is still operating nowadays.
7 day : Fez / Chefchaouen
We will drive to the north of Morocco through the Rif Mountains, arriving at Chefchaouen, The blue pearl of the north. The evening will be dedicated to exploring the simply but beautiful city of Chefchaouen where everything is set dramatically against the mountains. Things to see among many are the blue-tinted houses and cobbled streets with mountainous backdrop which create a photographic setting. Spend the night in a riad.
8 day : Chefchaouen / Meknes / Fes
After your breakfast in the riad, our journey will start towards volubilis, then driving forth via wazan and other rif villages Volubilis embodies the roman ruins and presents a unique archaeological site of Moroccan history, after the visit of the ruins we will shift our way to Meknes city, an imperial city in the 17th century, where we will hang around the historical huge walls of the medina, bab el mansour.
